The Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan's Annual Benefit is our largest and most significant event, raising critical funds to support the many vital programs and services we offer to the community. The 2023 Annual Benefit was held on May 23, and honored Steven Cohen and Kirk Iwanowski.

Steven Cohen + Kirk Iwanowski

Steven Cohen is head of the Steven Cohen Team at Douglas Elliman. He is recognized as one of Manhattan's premier real estate brokers and has won numerous accolades and awards over his 25-year career. Originally from Philadelphia, Steven attended Penn State University, where he was an active member of Beta Sigma Beta fraternity as well as The Daily Collegian newspaper. He subsequently lived overseas for seven years in Israel, South Africa, and Australia, where he was involved in the development of an international nonprofit.

Kirk Iwanowski is the Chief Marketing Officer of Kitman Labs, a software company powering health, performance and talent development strategies for major elite sports teams and military organizations globally. Kirk has led the marketing for several technology and entertainment companies, including AnyClip, Epix (now MGM+), Apparition Pictures, FilmDistrict, and Sundance Channel. He serves on the Board of Directors of The Drama League, the longest-running arts advocacy organization in the United States.

Kirk and Steven have served on the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan Board of Directors for over a decade. Their daughters, Lily (12) and Scarlett (5), are proud graduates of The Saul and Carole Zabar Nursery School. In addition, Kirk and Steven are founding supporters of Camp Settoga, co-chaired the 2013 Annual Benefit, and have served on several JCC committees including Development, Nominating, Marketing, Talent, and Nursery School.

Shoshana Bean

Shoshana Bean was most recently seen starring opposite Billy Crystal in Broadway's Mr. Saturday Night. Tony and Grammy nominated for her role as Susan Young, she has previously starred on Broadway as Elphaba in Wicked and Jenna in Waitress. Her six independent studio albums and EPs have landed her on top of the iTunes and Billboard charts, including the peak position of #1 on the Billboard Jazz Chart. She has sold out concerts around the globe and lent her voice to countless films and television shows, a few of which include: Sing, Sing 2, Enchanted, Jersey Boys, Glee and Galavant. Shoshana made her Broadway debut in the original cast of Hairspray, appeared Off-Broadway in the 2000 revival of Godspell, and in Songs for a New World at City Center Encores. She won an IRNE Award for her performance as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl and earned a Jeff Award nomination for her portrayal of CeeCee Bloom in the pre-Broadway musical production of Beaches. She has appeared in Bloodline, Bill and Ted Face the Music, and recently filmed a solo concert special for PBS.
